Hello Beauties!
I am so sorry for the small hiatus from blogging. I promise I'm still doing reviews and constantly writing up my thoughts but with finals next week I haven't had the time to post anything on here (but if you go to my instagram @Culturallyinclined22) you can see my shorter reviews and makeup looks. Thank goodness my Spring semester is almost over. Summer begins the immediate week after so no break, but at least i'm switching only to one class at a time for a total of two in the summer.
I won this product from a giveaway hosted by @0.8l_usa (if you haven't checked them out you really should)! Even though I received this product for free these are my own honest opinions and thoughts for this product. On http://clubcliousa.com/goodal-premium-snail-tone-up-essence.html website, you can see that this product retails for 59.00. This essence contains several key ingredients in order to make it an effective product. The first key ingredient is golden snail. This ingredient is supposed to sooth the skin and provide rich nourishment to your skin. The other key ingredient is white ginseng which is supposed to revitalize your skin as well is make it appear clear. Overall, this product will lighten (brighten) your skin as well as moisturize it.
The packaging is absolutely gorgeous! It comes in a holographic box with minimal writing to showcase the rainbow colors within the holographic effect. The bottle is made of durable plastic and is a modern silver and white bottle. It comes with a plastic pump top dispenser. The bottle reminds me of a classic silver cocktail shaker. I have a minor complaint about the pump dispenser, I don't know if it is just my bottle or all but I noticed that the pump sometimes gets stuck.
The essence itself is a thick, creamy, and very opaque white colored product. The texture, I found, was thicker than most essences and resembled to me a night moisturizer cream. Most of the essences I have are thinner and have more of a watery consistency. It has a light, perfumed scent that I cannot compare to anything I know I will say it is pleasant overall and not very strong. I've been using this product for about a week (mainly at night) and I have to say, this product works well. It leaves my skin looking brighter, clearer, and feeling moisturized. I have oily skin and while I didn't find this to make my skin greasy, I do find it a little heavy to wear during the day and night which is why I prefer to put it on during my night routine. Even though this product is moisturizing, I didn't notice any plumping effects. It does leave a slightly tacky feeling to it one it has dried from application and because it is a thicker texture it takes a few minutes to feel as if it has sunk into your skin. I also have sensitive skin and found it did not irritate my skin or cause any burning sensations.
Overall, I am satisfied with this essence and enjoy using it. That being said, I realized that I do prefer essences that are a bit thinner in texture but I am very happy to report that I noticed the effects that it said it would have upon skin. I would give it a 4.0/5.0. I wonder if those with drier skin would find it to be as moisturizing as I did? Has anyone tried this product before? I am curious to see what others have to say about this product since I couldn't really find any reviews on it.
Thanks for reading and stay tuned for a new review soon!
