Happy Monday Lovelies!
I hope that you all had a refreshing, relaxing weekend! As you know, it's Monday and it's time for my new review. Today I'll be discussing two products from Delight 18 that I received from 0.8l_USA, in exchange for my honest review. Despite receiving these items for free, know that I will always share with you my honest opinions on these products. Let's get started!
Delight 18 I U White Pang Cellapy Sun Cushion
Packaging: This cushion case is quite different from many varieties I have seen in the Korean Beauty market. The cushion case is square with rounded edges to make it appear less blunt and more cute. It's designed with a very clean and minimalistic style. Delight 18 chose to utilize a modern and stylistically clean color scheme by using only three colors: White, Black, and red. The picture of the dog on the front is very cute and reminds me of a Bichon Frise. There is a mirror located on the inside for the top cover and is covered with a removable protective, plastic covering. The mirror itself is very large and covers the entirety of the inside of the cover. This allows you to easily use the mirror and view more of your face when applying or touching up your makeup. The cushion applicator sits inside of a cushion holder, as is standard for most BB cushions, which doubles as a cover for the wet foundation once the protective covering has been removed. The cushion applicator has a nice ribbon with the Delight 18 logo clearly written along it in the same color scheme utilized for the rest of the cushion.
What does this cushion do?
When I looked up this cushion onlined I found that it is made with "24 amino acids, 5 peptides, and 14 different vitamins for an all-natural, highly concentrated, gentle but effective formula that's optimal for your skin". This cushion is designed with SPF 38 PA+++ and is supposed to provide "excellent coverage to protect and prevent harsh rays and irritants from penetrating your skin". "It naturally whitens and conditions the skin with a fresh, feather-light finish". (taken from the wish trend website)
My experience: I have olive toned skin and applied one layer of this BB cream on one half of my face while I applied my everyday BB cream to the other half of my face, in order to show a comparison. This cushion is extremely effective in whitening your skin as it made me look paler despite my natural olive toned complexion. Unlike most BB creams or foundation cushions (this is closer to being a brightening-sun protecting product rather than a BB cream) this left my skin with a matte finish and wasn't dewy. This is great for those individuals, like myself, who don't like products with a dewy finish. This product was effective for covering up the redness that I get on my cheeks but one layer didn't really diminish the PIH (Post Hyperpigmentation) I had on that cheek. I applied a second layer, after the first one had dried, to test its coverage ability. I found that the second layer did provide more coverage for the red areas on my cheek and was a bit more effective for covering up the PIH, but not enough to completely conceal it. One layer has a very light finish and didn't look or feel cakey or sticky on my skin. Two layers did appear to give it a dewier finish but not as much as I expected. I did notice that this cushion did tend to emphasize some areas of my skin that have uneven texture but it's possible I didn't blend it or spread the product enough.
Overall, this cushion is great for covering redness and creating a more even complexion. It adds protection against the sun, brightened my skin tone, and added moisture to my skin. I wouldn't recommend this cushion for medium or dark complexions, for hiding PIH, or for smoothing out the texture of your skin. I wouldn't buy this cushion after trying it just because it is too light for my complexion but I love the packaging, the idea behind its creation, and the stellar ingredients list which I'll be including below.
Ingredients: Water, Cyclopentasiloxane, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Titanium Dioxide, Butylene Glycol, Methylpropanediol, Ethylhexyl Salicylate, Phenyl Trimethicone, Cyclohexasiloxane, Polypropylsilsesquioxane, Stearyl Heptanoate, Niacinamide, Lauryl PEG-9 Polydimethlysiloxyethyl Dimethicone, Zinc Oxide, Dimethicone, Butylene Glycol Dicaprylate/Dicaprate, Polyhydroxystearic Acid, Vegetable oil, Sodium Chloride, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Beeswax, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Mica, Dimethicone/PEG-10/15 Crosspolymer. Phenoxyethanol, Acrylate/EthylhexylAcrylate/Demethicone Methacrylate Copolymer, Aluminum Hydroxide, Lecithin, Isostearic acid, Isopropyl Myristate, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Polyglyceryl-3 Polyricinoleate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Caprylyl glycol, menthyl ethylamido oxalate, ethylhexylglycerin, sorbitan isostearate, acrylates/steryl acrylate/dimethocone methacrylate copolymer, adenosine, disodium EDTA, Methyl methacrylate crosspolymer allantoin, HDI/Trimethylol Hexyllactone crosspolymer, helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil, Argania spinosa kernel oil, Melaleuca alternifolia (tea tree) leaf extract, Glycerin, Saccharide Isomerate, Potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate, sophroa Japonica fruit extract, silica, prumus persica callus culture extract, ethyl hexanediol, sorbitol glycine, 1,2=Hexanediol, serine, Glutamic acid, Aspartic acid, Glycerly Linolenate, Glyceryl Linoleate, Leucine, Citric acid, Xanthan Gum, Sodium citrate, sodium ascorbyl phosphate, retinyl palmitate, alanine, lysine, arginine, tyrosine, phenylalanine, valine, threonine, proline, pancratium maritimum extract, isoleucine, histidine, methionine, cysteine, theanine, PEG-40 Hydrogrenated Castor Oil, Glycerly Caprylate, PPG-26-Buteth-26, Milk Lipids, Glutathione, Copper Tripeptide-1, Tropolone, Acetyl Hexapeptide-37, Acetyl Hexapeptide-49, Flavor.
Delight 18 Finger Made Tintox Balm
Packaging: Comes in a nice box with a cute picture of a pair of lips wearing the tintox lip balm and a finger lightly pressed up against them with the Delight 18 logo written on it. The picture is a cute added touch. The company chose the same color scheme as it did for the White Pang Cushion. Perhaps the same color scheme is used for all Delight 18 products? The tintox balm comes in a cute plastic round container with a metallic cover written with the Delight 18 logo in black and red. Delight 18 again chose a simplistic, minimalist, clean style for the packaging of this product as they did with the cushion.
What is it supposed to do?
This is a multi-purposed product designed to hydrate dry lips, plump up the natural volume of your lips, and add a flush of color.
My experience: This lip balm deceptively resembles a clear, jelly like, lip balm without any color, much to my surprise it has a nice color to it. This lip balm smells delicious. It smells just like fresh lemons. I only noticed the scent when I was applying it but not after I wore it. I did notice that it left a slight plumpness to my lips after wearing it as it made my top lip look almost as full and more even than my normally fuller bottom lip. I wore this for a few hours and it did keep my lips hydrated. This product doesn't have much staying power and it is not transfer proof. It has to be reapplied after eating and drinking. This isn't a huge complaint of mine because most other lip balms are the same way. I didn't find this lip balm to be sticky which is definitely appreciated! The color on my lips appears to be a cherry pink, a deep reddish-pink, which isn't one that I might normally choose for myself but I actually loved it on me. My biggest complaint about this product is how it is applied. I would have loved if this had come with a small brush to help with application but it didn't. Since the diameter of the jar is a little narrow it can be a little difficult to get enough product on your finger to apply. I also prefer to apply with a brush to not stain my finger and keep it as free of germs as possible.
Overall, this product is great for hydrating lips, adding a slight plumpness to them, and adding a nice flush of color. This is not good for instances in which you expect a lip product to have staying or transfer proof power and application without a brush can be a little trying but it isn't anything major. I would happily purchase this item after I run out of the current jar I have because I really like it. This is especially great for days when I don't want to fuss with lipstick or my lips are feeling drier but I still want some color on them.
