Hello beauties!
I can't believe it has almost been a month since my last post. I'm so sorry everyone! Only two more weeks of summer class and then I finally get the first break I've had since March. I'm ecstatic! Today I will be reviewing another product from a Korean company that has not yet released its products to the U.S. Stay tuned below for full review!
This product review is another beauty collaboration with the beautiful and talented @minibbeauty. She told me that Rappol is another upcoming Korean beauty company that is currently looking to expand their market. A part of their decision to make is whether they should bring their products to the U.S market. My job is to honestly and thoroughly review their product. As always, despite receiving this product for free I assure you that I will review this product and provide my honest opinion. Let's get started!
Let's start off with the packaging of this mask. This is simplistic yet chic. This is a beautiful border for this mask made up of dozens of flowers in bloom. This is worked in a beautiful silver foil material that glimmers beautifully against the stark white background. In contrast, Rappol is etched in a dark gold along with the name of the mask. I'm not sure what other masks Rappol offers but to set this one a part from the others "with pomegranate" is spelled out in a dark pink-red in a thin and wispy font. I also love the little pomegranate icon they included in the bottom right hand area. The mask description is written in a thin font of non-shiny grey. The back keeps with the same color scheme of white, dark grey, and gold. I definitely feel as if Rappol's packaging sets itself a part from other mask companies by choosing an elegant and chic package design.
This Nutritious bio ampoule mask with pomegranate is supposed to deliver rich moisture and nourishment deep into the skin. It's also supposed to maintain healthy skin by preventing dehydration. When I translated the gold lettering located on the back of the pouch, I also found that the mask claims to aid with whitening and provide anti-wrinkle benefits. I am already in love with this mask. One thing I really like about any skin care product is its ability to contain multiple benefits and this mask doesn't disappoint. The mask itself is made of cotton with a highly concentrated ampoule that helps to cultivate clear skin. This mask contains several flower-plant ingredients including: Grapefruit extract, Hibiscus flower extra, Nucifera flower extra, Prunus semulata flower extract, Safflower extra, Rose extract, Tiger lily extract, Lime, Black currant seed oil, Rose flower oil, and Anise Fruit-Seed oil. I will be leaving the full ingredients list below this paragraph.
Ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, PEG/PPG-17/6 Copolymer, Trehalose, Niacinamide, Citrus Paradisi (Grapefruit) Fruit Extra, Diethoxyethyl Succinate, Panthenol, Carbomer, Xanthan Gum, Punica Granatum Fruit Extract, Ethylhexylglycerin, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Caster Oil, Adenosine, Potassium Hydroxide, Hibiscus SAbadariffa Flower Extract, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Peel oil, Nelumbo Nucifera Flower Extract, Prunus Semulata Flower Extract, Carthamus Tinctoris (Safflower) Flower Extract, Rosa Rugosa FLower Extract, Lilium Tigrium Extract, Paeonia Albiflora Flower Extract, Olea Eurpaea (Olive) Fruit OIl, Citrus Aurantifolia (lime) oil, Sodium Hyaluronate, Ribes nigrum (Black Currant) Seed Oil, Rose Flower Oil, Illicium Verum (Anise Fruit/Seed OIl, Sodium Oleate, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Acetyl DExapeptide-8, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol.
This mask has a pretty good fit for my small face. I found it to be a little short in the forehead and wide on the sides of my face. It does have little cuts on the sides of the mask to help it fit and adhere better. The mask was completely soaked in a clear, semi-watery essence. I found that there is a nice, pleasant scent to the mask. This is a subtle scent and not strong or over powering. There is no direct identifiable scent equivalent that I can compare this to. There was about a full tsp of leftover essence left in the bag. I always appreciate when companies include extra essence because it allows me to tap any extra essence left over into my face after I remove the mask. It also allows me to determine what type of a finish the essence will leave once it has absorbed into the skin and fully dried.
I left this mask on for about forty five minutes before I removed it. It was dry at that point. I have sensitive skin, which you may have read in one of my previous posts, but am happy to report that I did NOT experience any itching, burning, or irritation while I wore this mask and after I took it off. I was even surprised that my ultra sensitive eyebrow area didn't react to the essence from this mask because lately is have been overly sensitive to many products it normally isn't sensitive to. After taking off the dried mask I decided to pat in the remaining essence from the mask bag and wait till it was absorbed. The extra essence did leave a semi tacky, non shiny finish. I can report that this mask left my face with a slightly plumped, soft, and clear look in the morning after I rinsed off the extra essence. I cannot evaluate the anti-aging properties of this mask since I haven't used it on a consistent or long term basis. I felt that this mask did effectively provide moisture and whitening to my soft and clear skin. The extensive ingredients list does lead me to suspect that this mask does provide nutrition to your skin but I cannot determine clearly whether it did or didn't fulfill that claim.
Thank you so much for reading this review my lovelies! I was really happy with this mask overall and would both recommend it and hope that Rappol decides to bring their products to market in the U.S. Overall I would purchase this mask because it effectively moisturizes, plumps, and brightens my skin. It also left it soft and clear without irritating my sensitive skin. Would you like this product to come to the U.S? Would you buy it? Share your thoughts below. Stay tuned for more upcoming beauty reviews.
